Loving the stained crinkle ribbon...

I got the lavender ribbon from Michelle Wooderson!  Love her stuff!  And she is a fellow Kansan so I though that was kinda fun!  Here is the card I made inspired by the ribbon!

Thanks for coming by today!  Hope you have a great weekend!

HeLLo!

Another vintagey one?  Yep!  I guess so!  Not usually a vintagey or distressed type person but here we have #2 vintagey card in one week!

Love the CTMH Stickers!  They are ready to paint, stamp or whatever you want!  IRL you can really see the wood grain stamping I did on them!  I just love these things!

Thanks for coming by!  Have a great day!

May PTI Blog Hop

Welcome to the May Blog Hop!

"This month's blog hop is all about fabulous felt! We know you love this new addition to our product
line-up and we would love to see what you are doing with it! From borders to focal points, paper crafts
to sewing projects. Hair accessories to home decor accents. Cards to scrapbook layouts."

So I have a couple felt projects for you today! The first was a request my dd.  She is starting to wear headbands and loves flowers! I thought this would be a great time to try out some felt flowers!
Here is project #1...(bad pic sorry...)

I think she looks so cute with it on!  It's amazing how some inexpensive felt can jazz up a headband!  And so easy!!

Project #2...a little clippy using Raspberry Fizz felt...

And last but not least, project #3 with a felt flower from the Beautiful Blooms Dies!  A must have for sure!
(I think I say that about alot of PTI stuff really!)

Thanks for hopping by today!  Have a great time looking at all the amazing creations!

Thanks for the Lift!

LOVE, love this set!  UP, up and Away is a must have!  Thought the kite would make kinda of fun background...(inspired also by Diane J. making her geometric shapes!)

Thanks for looking!  Have a great day!

Up, up and some random ideas!

Like Jen, I got my stuff today too! (Today is really yesterday since this will post on Sunday!)  So I couldn't wait to jump in either!  Here is my first card with my new favorite set...Up, up and Away!  Super fun and simple!

Before I started this card I realized I didn't want textured clouds.  So I simply turned the stamp over and stuck the textured image down to get the "wrong" side of the stamp UP.  Inked it up with some Fresh Snow and got some super fluffy, white, non-textured clouds!  :)

So after doing this, I remembered reading on the PTI forum where someone didn't want to actually have to color the balloons.  So again, I stamped a solid image with the "wrong" side of the stamp and then stamped the outline image on top.  Then I just cut around the balloon getting rid of the excess!  (I will share that card with you on another day!)  I am sure someone has done this before but I thought it would work well with the balloons in particular!

This picture shows just my first attempts at what it would actually do.  Yes, my 5 year old inked it up!  Not me...I am NOT that messy!  {crickets chirping.....}  OK so anyway, I also tried the "kissing" technique with several background stamps and some turned out kinda fun!  I know it would be just as simple to stamp on colored paper with the outline but you could do lots of fun things with the actually stamp and different colors or inks and techniques!  Again, this picture just shows some playing around, not anything finished!

So anyway, just wanted to share some thoughts!  Hope this helps someone out there....{more crickets chirping....} LOL!

Have a great day!

Miss you....oh quiet time! (And another 2S4U!)

Edit: I found out today that my card was picked for the Fab 5 on 2sketches4u! Click HERE to see! So fun!! Thank you so much Laura and the 2S4U team!!

So if you read yesterday's post, it was the LAST day of school!  So on the last day of school, I made what feels like it might be my LAST card for awhile! (ok not really!)  With summer comes all the fun stuff, busy days and only one kiddo who takes a nap!  SO I am sure my blog might be quieter than usual starting....right now!  :)  On that note...here is my LAST school time, piece and quiet, nap time creation!  Until next school year my friends! (again....not really!  LOL!)

Can you see the sparkle I added?  :) And yes that is some super fun died ribbon from Etsy

Thanks for stopping by!  Hope its a good day!  Hope you have some quiet time!  Think of me!

(Adding in here too, this card was a also inspired by the 2S4U sketch this week!)

Last Day of School!!

So today is my little ones LAST day of Kindergarten!  Me and my friend Staci, whose daughter is in the same class as my daughter, are IM'ing right now in all of our sadness about not wanting to leave the safety of Kindergarten!  We don't want to go to first grade!  We don't want our kids to be old enough to GO to first grade!  Can't they just stay little?  Please?  Forever?  And we are going to miss our teacher!  BIG time!

OK back to reality here....stoppin' in with a couple teacher cards, a gift and my bus driver card!  Lots of pics so hang on with me!  :)

Here is R's teacher card....

Do you like how I covered up my "sewing mistake" with a button in the top right?  Hehehe!

So then blog hopping this morning on my GR, I stopped over at the Simplicity blog and found THESE, and said, "I can do that too!" and then added a little PTI Take Note!  I finished 10 note cards in about 4 minutes!  LOVE them!  Hope the teachers do too! (Thank you Susan, for the fantastical idea!)

So I have had this CM die cut for years!  I knew one day I would have the perfect thing for it and this year was that year!  We have the BEST bus driver EVER so I wanted to make her an extra special card!

I had to add some Glossy Accents to the windows!  You can see the clouds through the windows too!  So fun!

Hope you all have a fantastic day!  I am going to go to my daughter's class later!  You can believe I will shed some tears today!  I will also be on the hunt for the magic wand that will keep them LITTLE forever!
{sniff, sniff}
