MFT Countdown Day 3...

Welcome to Day 3 of the MFT April Release.  I am super excited about the products we get to share today.  I love the theme!  Fiesta!

Here is my card using the new Fiesta  and Piñata Dies....

MFT April 2018 Release

To create this card, I did some Copic scribbling on a piece of white cardstock and then cut them into 1 inch strips.  I attached them to a white card base.  Next, I die cut the Piñata out of white cardstock and layered it up. Seriously the cutest die!  One pass to cut out all the layers and they fit on the piñata base so easily!

Next, I die cut the fiesta die and added some glitter along the bottom edge.  I stamped the sentiment from the Pure Innocence Birthday Piñata set along the bottom to finish off the card.

MFT Countdown Day 4...

Hello there friends! It's Day 4 of the MFT Countdown and I am here with another sneak peak of the newest release.

Print

I created this card by using Broken China Oxide Ink and the new Mini Raindrop stencil for the background.  I added the little puddle image from the new set Rain or Shine, added some color and a shadow and topped it off with Glossy Accents and a tiny heart die cut.  I colored up that adorable little girl and popped her up on foam tape.  To finish off the card, I stamped the sentiment on 2 of the fishtail dies and added those on the card.

MFT Countdown Day 5...

Welcome to Day 5 of the MFT April Release Countdown.  This month there are so many adorable new stamps and dies, you are going to need to hold on to your seat!

When I saw this turtle from the new set called Too-Cute Turtles, I had to stamp it and color up a rainbow asap.  How cute is he?

MFT April 2018 Release

I used the Stitched Collage Cover-up to add a little decoration to the background and then added in the turtle and a few flowers from the set.  I finished it off by stamping the sentiment on the angle along the cover up.

Hello Friend {Queen and Company}...

Hey there! Stopping in today with a couple coordinating shaker cards using the Shaped Shaker Flower Kit.  These flowers are so fun and so versatile!

Queen and Company

For this first card, I did a little distress oxide blending and added in the clouds using a cloud stencil.  I stamped the flower stem from the Queen Flower Stamp set along the bottom of the card.
Next, I cut a grass border along the bottom and then added the sentiment in Versafine black ink.  I added in the flower shaker box with a yellow background and then cut a piece of the patterned paper from the Picture Perfect Paper Pack for the flower frame.  I added in the toppings and the acetate top and finished the flower off by adding in a stitched center and those adorable leaf dies that come in the kit.  (all supplies linked below)

Queen and Company

I wanted to make a coordinating card, so I used all the same pattern paper and colors.

Queen and Company

You can't tell from the photo but the flower is on a wobble spring so this interactive card, just became even more interactive!  I will post a little video on Instagram so check it out @laurie_willison to see the card in action.

So glad you stopped by today.  I hope you have enjoyed my cards.  Have a great day!

MFT Hits and Highlights...

I am stopping in today with this months Hits and Highlights from MFT.  Here is the challenge from My Favorite Things......

What’s your pattern passion? Whether dots, stripes, or florals, we have you covered with our collection of patterned paper packs. This month, we’ve challenged our designers to work their magic with a specific group of them — it’s all about the pastels!

I picked the Plaid Patterns paper pack to work with because I adore this plaid and all these springy colors.

MFT Hits and Highlights

I cut a piece short enough to just show a strip of the Sour Apple card base.  Next, I die cut the Smile sentiment and popped that up on fun foam.  I added in the cutest little chick from Birthday Chick to finish off this clean and simple card.

MFT Hits and Highlights

There are several other design team members playing along today.  The MFT blog will have a full list of stops.

Which patterned paper pack is your favorite?  There are so many gorgeous ones to pick from.  Thanks so much for coming by today!

MFT Wednesday Challenge....

Happy Wednesday!  Today starts a new weekly sketch challenge over at the MFT Challenge Blog.  I am joining in with a clean and simple card!

First off, here is my card....

MFT Wednesday Sketch 377

You can see the sketch below, but I turned it on its side to make this top fold card.  I used the Celebratory Banner about half way dow the card front.  I cut out the banners out of white cardstock and then added color using Copic markers.  Next, I tied a little tiny white twine bow and attached it to the end of the banner.  I used the little heart die cuts from the Blueprints Tag Builder 5 for the extra details in the sketch.  Last, I covered the hearts in Glossy Accents for a little shine.

MFT Wednesday Sketch 377

Here is this weeks sketch.....

Head on over to the MFT Challenge blog to see the details about this weeks sketch.  I hope you can play along too!

Have a great day!
